Keep in mind though that if you qualify for the income contingent plan you only have to pay for 25 years then regardless of your principle left it is forgiven, and it is based on a percentage of your monthly income.

Im 70 in debt courtesy of my education. Got my degree in May and now i find out that my monthly payment starting in November is supposed to be over 700 dollars. I dont know what fantasy world they live in but as a single mother of two there is no way they are getting 700 a month... ill be lucky if i can pay 100-200 a month.
