I'm lactose intolerant, but I loooooooooooooooooooaf the taste of all things dairy. I just hate what they do to my insides. And so, since I've cut back on the calcium-rich dairy-goods, I feel that it's the culprit for my newest problem:
It's my first broken bone experience. And I'm really not enjoying it. Such an awkward place to be all hurty.
But since it's healing now (just happened 24 hours ago), I got my brace on... And I was wondering...
Since I can't have milk and junk, what else is yummy and full of calcium?
I want this bone to be strong again. And the rest if 'em for that matter.
I'd ask my Vegan friends, but, they are all on a (stereotypically-hippie) tree-planting expedition.
I hate this one-hand thing, and all these pills and pains...
But any ideas as to grow/heal some strong bones would be greatly appreciated. Preferably in a delicious manner.
Thanks in advance.
(Took my right hand ten minutes to type all this. So frustrating.)
I think certain kinds of dark leafy greens have a good amount of calcium. I want to say spinach, but I'm not really sure. Collard greens. Shit like that. The darker the better.
And tofu eh? I haven't dabbled in the 'fu for about 15 years.
My mom raised me Vegan. I used to love the stuff (according to eyewitness account). But "bean curds" is kind of... interesting sounding. I'm not grossed out. I just don't know what to think of it.
What is a delicious way to prepare/serve Tofu? What's it taste like?
