i realise clarke was merely a sci-fi novelist and wittgenstein was a highly respected metaphysical philosopher who argued effectively against moore's defence of common sense, but i still think clarke had a better grip on socio-political landscapes... this conjecture probably makes no sense, but anyone wanna add their 2c? Hehe. So tell us more of this wittgenstein. This is the first I've heard of it, and I'm imagining some sort of giant floating brain created from millions of brains that were stolen from corpses. Oh, and for some reason it makes a weird humming noise as it floats (because all floating disembodied human parts hum when they float).

Am I even remotely close?
