the RL ads in the NYT (especially the sunday ed.) are great, and the AA ad on the back of the current issue of The Onion is magnificent.

I always love any advertisement for AA, all of their photography is amazing.

I swear to god, the employes (models) they use for their catalogue/print ads are fucking gorgeous. I think that's the only company that can make lamé look hot.

i disagree, i definitely still find the lamé disgusting, but some of their ads are hot. they do that style of photography that seems to be in right now but i can't describe.

I like the AA ads too. They look like amateur porn, but I like amateur porn, and so what, most high-gloss fashion ads just look like PROFESSIONAL porn.

And I like the fact that they use regular people as models, whether they're AA employees or not. It gives me more confidence that the same clothes might look good on me. Good strategy!

yeah, its definitly a love/hate thing. it looks exactly like amatuer porn, so you kind of hate to be seen holding a publication with that on it. but its a pretty ballsy move to have your ad campaign say "fuck art" I mean that in the way that the ads are not 'good' photos.

the ads, would they be rejected as SG sets?
