I desperately want people to start telling whole and complete stories that answer all questions raised. No stories that are obviously half of a complete story, pirates of the caribbean 2, god of war 2, and halo 2. I want tv shows with a definite, finite, planned conclusion. I do not want people to continue looking for new ways to squeaze money out of something good.

...[the show will] not be a guns-and-car-chases series, partly because of the reduced budgets on television...Hamilton is not expected to reprise her role. And neither is Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Hmm, remind me why this show even exists? Minus the guns and car-chases, would the Terminator series even exist? It's sort of like doing a silent stage production of Hamlet. What's the point?

Well, since there are no guns or car-chases involved, i'm guessing they are more like petty thieves. Shoplifiting from 7-11's of the future. Stealing blankets from hotels. Parking in handicap spaces. Voting twice. Those kinds of crimes.

This so needs to never happen. It's odd. This kind of thing kills franchises. In fact, there are a whole slew of great movies that actually are diminshed by their sequels or continuing storylines... Highlander, The Matrix, Star Wars... Planet of the Apes.

With the exception of Reloaded and Revolutions, all the extra Matrix stuff has been pretty awesome. Animatrix, the video games, comics, etc.

Animatrix was great, but Enter the Matrix was godawful.

This is some pretty weak reporting from one of my typically favorite SG reporters. By the time this thing was filed, the trailer for the show (from the Fox up-front) was already up on YouTube, and a whole lot of the assertions in this article were clearly proven right (Linda Hamilton isn't "not expected" but is in fact clearly not returning) or wrong (there's violence for sure).

And the show is set between the second and third movies.

So after River's uncovered the secret of the Reavers she's sent back in time to protect John Connor?

Damn typecasting.

John Conner left me with the idea that he had a lot of "uncles". And we know she puts-out on the first date.

Is this gonna be a porn series?

THREADOMANCY GO!

i've gotta say, y'all's was all wrong. the middle of the first season was kinda weak, but it picked up at the end, and the entire second seasons has been fucking fantastic.

i think part of what makes it so good is, they've largely rejected any formulaic plot elements, and they don't tie themselves to the status quo.

plus, y'know, stupidly hot portuguese-chinese-norweigian-badass love interest with an aussie accent.
