Why are bike messengers such fucking assholes?!

I think bike messengers and fixies are totally cute and all but those guys are fucking assholes for scaring the shit out of peds and cars.

I hate hate hate bicyclists who don't obey traffic laws. I've now become the cranky old man who yells and bike riders who ride on the sidewalk.

I also find that a lot of bikers are really smug about it, too. They're so quick to pat themselves on the back for not driving. Jerks!

Like I said before, it's an awesome video, and I like cyclists but what those guys are doing is just one dick move after another.

bike messengers make cab rides fun....when ever i visit nyc i take cab rides through manhattan just to see these fuckers zoom by......when they aproach close by....open the door ...hilarity ensues.

To be fair, it doesn't matter how people get from point A to point B in NYC. They're all assholes to everyone else. The bike messengers are just par for the course.

Thank you, Koleeta. I've pretty much said the same thing in other forums where this thing has been posted and been villified for it. I ride all sorts of two-wheeled transport and live in the bike friendliest city in the country, and still think they deserve to get doored.

in defense of myself and my fellow fixie riders: it's just retaliation for asshole cabbies and dumb soccer moms in suvs who cut us off on right hand turns and people who pass us too close on the left and people who don't check their fucking mirrors before they open their door on a bike lane and people who honk at us for riding far enough out that we won't get doored and... and... and...

plus, it's fun as hell
