For me Ed Brubaker will always be a complete lowlife. Not because I found him rifling through the trash and eating dirty diapers but rather because of the book that helped kick off his comics career, the semiautobiographical A Complete Lowlife. Since that books publication not much has been heard from Brubaker, nah just kidding again, hes one of the busiest writers in the comic book industry having completed extensive runs on Batman, The Authority and created owned books like Sleeper and Scene of...
Awesome interview! Ed's one of my favorite writers (yes I am reading Criminal in floppies). He's actually responsible for my appreciation for noir. More people should be reading Criminal (and DD, and Cap, and X-Men). BTW Ed went on record saying this is one of the best interviews he's ever had, going so far as to pimp it on some other sites and message boards
I loved his Catwoman and Sleeper. Not to mention Gotham Central. I have to admit I've been waiting for the trade on Criminal, but maybe I should try to go get the floppies. In any case, I doubt the trade will have all of the cool articles about film noir and the like.
