Tom Schneider, who played Bo Duke on the Duke's of Hazard, just sold his very own 725 horsepower General Lee for $9,900,500 on Ebay. The auction closed at 1:00 pm eastern time today. The ultra-fly (albeit overpriced) ride comes complete with doors that actually open and a top speed of 200 mph. It's reported that he will use the funds to finance a new movie he's working on. All of this pending verification that the ebay bidder is real -- but it looks to be true since Ebay's winning bids are legal contracts. YEEEEEEE-HAAAAA.

A-hem, its JOHN Schneider, as someone else noted. he played Pa Kent on Smallville too.

its not the general lee from the tv show, its a version he made himself in 1997 and was used in the last dukes of hazzard tv movie. if you read the auction it tells you all of that.

given all that, some sucker spent 10 million on it, jeesh. and its legit since only pre-approved bidders were allowed to bid.

Remember, General Lee had a good run for awhile, but he ended up getting whipped, and whipped good.
I'll take a "General Grant" any day.

Don't fuck with the side that had the factories, trains, and the 6:1 manpower ratio...

WOW! Over 9 million for the General Lee. Life sure has changed in Hazzard County. I suspect Boss Hogg is behind this?

Like someone already said, this car was built in the past ten years-ish, so it never appeared on the TV show. In addition to that, you have to consider that there were probably at least a handful of similar dodge chargers that appeared on that show, so even if it was the one they drove around in, it's more than likely never jumped over a river or rode down the main street of downtown hazard on two wheels. Therefor, what's the point? You're better off just making your own, and you could probably even do it with far more accuracy.

Couldn't a person with that much money just customize a car of that make and model into a General Lee for a lot less?

Wow. The YearOne reproduction Camaro body and parts make a lot more sense to me now. If you can build a brand-new old car from new parts, why spend $10 million on an old old car?

Maybe they need to put out a Charger body now.
