Secret Photoshop Agent and resident Fashion Icon Zoetica often has the staff at SGHQ asking, "What's Zo Wearing?" Her unique and eccentric style is a rallying call to those who suffer from mainstream malaise. Each week, she tells us how she's combined ordinary items to create her extraordinary look. Undaunted by unusual combinations, "What's Zo Wearing" is SG's answer to middle-of-the-road makeover shows.
It must be noted that this particular set of images is likely my favorite work with Andrew Yoon and wouldn't be possible without the lighting prowess of Matt Lee. Thank you, Matt.
Juxtaposition of contrasting textures is a beloved outfit theme for me.
Thus, I give you another exquisite cabbage corpse of an outfit, courtesy Valley of the Dolls, the Stepford Wives and skinjobs world-wide.
Let us dissect!
Layer 1: Vintage '70s cream lace top - from my mother. I begged for this item ever since i was wee. Thanks, mom!
Layer 3: Chiffon undies + suspender belt in one - Victoria's secret, gift from miss Veronica
Layer 4: Pink bra - Victoria's secret, again probably around $20
Layer 5: Multi layered beaded skirt, which I, rather unsophisticatedly, safety-pinned to the bra. Pricy, some shop on Melrose.
Layer 6: Harness/holster by Maria Mars - a generous gift from the lovely creator herself.
I love this item! I wear it with soft feminine dresses and tight black T-shirts alike. Maria Mars is a Los Angeles based designer and can be reached here for design inquiries.
Layer 7. Extra-long leg warmers from SockDreams.com, of course
Layer 8. Wedge peep-toe shoes - Steve Madden
Layer 9: Gloves: vintage, thrifted someplace.
And there you have it. Pictures speak the rest for themselves this day.

while this is indeed quite spiffy, i'm not a fan of the color of the thigh highs. however, this is by no means an accusing of Ms. Zo of a fashion faux pas, as it must be pointed out that i'm a white boy that joined the military because i couldn't handle the stress casual fridays would cause me.
...damn...damn...damn...so cute and doll-like and ohh so sexy!!! Your sense of style never ceases to amaze me. Why oh why don't women in Louisiana have a delightful sense of fashion that you have in spades!?!
This is definitely my favorite outfit thus far! Lady, you have such rad style. I would never have thought to pair a holster with all that, but it works so well!
Looking at the first photo, I can't help but think "Sweet, my life size Zoetica doll has finally arrived!" Though now after typing that it sounds kind of creepy. Sorry.
