pabst blue ribbon

could someone please tell my why everyone always talks about drinking pbr on this site. whre i live the only people who drink it are old women. even the biggest, mullet wearing, 1985 firebird driving rednecks will not even touch it. they tend to stick to the "beast" also know as milwaukees best. dont get me wrong, its an okay cheap beer but not good enough to have a million references on this site. i was just wondering why, and also very board at the moment.

At the "hairsalon" on my street in Portland you get free PBR with your haircut.

Growing up, PBR was the beer of choice for those that could not afford Budweiser. Usually, they drove 1984 Mustangs, beatup old ford trucks, had chewing tobacco in their mouth, and the odor of motor oil and piss all over them. PBR is okay, but it is not my preferred cup of ale.

i mean , come on, it's patriotic, comes in a red white and blue can, tastes good, leaves me with no hangover, costs less than $10 for a thirty pack,and you can sound like such the suave fellow when you say to the bartender, "pbr me asap". how could you go wrong?

As far as cheap beer goes, PBR is good, but Natural Light Ice gets you more bang for your buck..at least in these parts

Where I grew up, PBR is one fucking dollar a can. Where I live now, it's only two. Considering the next cheapest beer is five, I believe that leaves me little choice but to get tanked on 15 PBRs instead of just angry on 6 measly Buds. Flagship drink of punk or not, it gets you ripped for less.

HEY!! PBR is the best tasting cheap beer out there. If you are going to quaff a twelver, then PBR is the way to go. This is followed by Hamm's if, in my case, PBR is hard to find.

I don't get the PBR thing either. That's akin to having Meister Brau as your fav. and no one would want that. I prefer Yuengling and it's local(kinda).

it's almost a cult type of thing, I met three guys in a bar one night that all had old milwaukee tattoos that they got together, since I was drinking old mil at the time I instantly became one of their friends, When was the last time you made a friend just because of the brand of beer you were drinking
