Man am I the only one who hates Douglas Coupland and thinks he's a pretentious boob? Maybe I'm just too young to get all of his cool nuances about life, or maybe, I just don't give a fuck because he reminds me of that Math teacher I had in high school who thought he was cool so he hit on all the hot girls, and didn't realize that nobody really took him seriously but himself.
I could never see myself wanting to party with him. I'd rather read one of his books and think I learned stuff about culture, when in actual fact I didn't really learn anything, I just thought I did.
And fuck, talking in the third person, motherfucker.
And fuck, here's hoping Canada produces something better in the literary department than this guy. God could we use a shit-kicker right now.

I always felt like I missed something from him due to my age or my attitude problem with people like him and his characters. I definitely think he is a talented and appicable monster, but for me he is like a drug I would never try because everyone I know that does it acts like an asshole.
