Wow! Thanks for all the great comments. I appreciate all the suggestions. I guess I should have mentioned that one of my criteria for creating my list was to include musicals that have music worth listening to apart from the film. In fact, I listen quite often to the soundtrack for American Astronaut. Get a taste of the Billy Nayer Show on their site and get some samples of American Astronaut here.
I know there are great musical numbers in films that are not musicals. I do regret not including the work of Matt Stone and Trey Parker from South Park and Cannibal the Musical. Team America's "America - Fuck Yeah!" is an amazing tune!
Yeah, I see what you're saying about the Blues Brothers. I mean, you really could split hairs and break the larger genre of "Musicals" into sub-genres such as "Rock Musical," "Indie Musical," "Broadway-to-Film Musical," "Cartoon Musical" "Disney Musical" and so on. I was trying to include ones which might be considered uncharacteristic.
Hair is a matter of taste - I happen to like it a lot because it's so raw, as were so many films from the 70s.

I (and most others I've had this conversation with) thought the movie version of Hair was awful. Especially in comparison to the actual live musical.
And I agree about the Blues Brothers debate going on above.
