I have no idea how people can abuse Ativan.

I take it and once took 0.5mg more than I should have (I was having a horrible anxiety attack and thought it might be a good idea) and when I went to sleep had the worst (vividly horrifying) nightmares of my life. I thought someone had broken into my apartment complex, and when I "woke up" I was stuck in REM, which is even scarier if it's ever happened to you.

Yeah, I stick to my normal dosage.

this is most likely the problem. he's not sneaking pills in for fun...he's sneaking them in because he's addicted...most likely to very large amounts. not sure why he can't work something out with the jail (you could easily die if you go cold turkey.)

He'd have to openly admit to the problem. Once he collapses and gets medical treatment, they will forcibly treat him, but up until that point, he still has some free will left. He can claim all he want that he isn't addicted to anything

I really have no sympathy for the asshat, it looks like Karma does work, and caught up to him and kidney punched him.

I wonder if in ten years we will see Joe Francis revitalized by religion and leading the Battlecry group?

well, many people start abusing benzos by mistake. they have crippling anxiety attacks and are prescribed a daily dose by the doctor. or they are just kind of old and depressed and prescribed it to calm down. or whatever. anyway, they take their dose twice a day as prescribed and in two or three months are horribly physically addicted.

even worse than taking .5mg too much once to calm down is discovering after two or six months that if you miss a dose you start to go through withdrawals. you know how an anxiety attack feels? well, imagine being in that constant high state of fight or flight 24/7. no sleep, shaking like you have parkison's disease, can't eat, can't talk, can't breathe. it's hell. and stopping cold turkey can give you seizures and death.

i can't imagine a worse hell, especially while locked up in jail. but yeah, this guy deserves it.

The first few times that I took it, I hallucinated a little and quit taking it. My wife and my doctor both said that was really weird. Then I took it a lot last year and I had no problems. Ativan and Vicodin are my two favorite drugs.

My wife is a nurse and most of her patients get ativan, she says that it just puts most to sleep, but some do have very vivid dreams. I really don't understand how someone could get addicted to the stuff.

I only took the medication when I needed it. I only take vicodin sometimes, but I do have a thing of ativan.

Hate to say it...But Joe Francis is just like any of us.
If you had come up with his concept and banked as hard as he did, you would be in the same possition...
The state of Florida has had it in for him for over 3 years now...They tore up his private JET 2 years ago and found nothing...GOOD GOING government agenciesI!!! And of course, WE the taxpayers had to pay 2 million dollars to fix up their shitty lead...
As for the DRUGS they found on him...
65% of the people in Los Angeles are on XANAX...He'll claim that he's got anxiety problems...
As far as TAX EVASION...His accountant will take some of the blame for miscalculating. Cut to: His attorneys who will plea bargain...
He should end up with 2 years probation & around 2 million in fines...
And then...It's back to MEXICO for Spring Break and more tits & ass...
Yeah baby! The American Dream...
You don't have to like the guy, hell...you don't have to like Larry Flynt or Hugh Heffner...
Same shit...Just a different recipe.
PS: Most of the girls on his VIDEOS that are really getting down, are all hired STRIPPERS and PROS...

I am nothing like Joe Francis. And if by "come up" with "copy what someone else was doing", yea then i'd copy Bill Gates.

65% of Los Angeles isn't in prison and aren't to supposed to have any contraband
.

Yeah baby! The American Dream...

Your dream and my dream seem to differ a little. Please don't quote it as "the American dream", i am American, and his lifestyle is not my dream

You don't have to like the guy, hell...you don't have to like Larry Flynt or Hugh Heffner...

You really can'tcompare Joe Francis to the Heff. They are nothing alike. Different Shit, Different recipe.

I've known some girls dumb enough to "perform" on his videos, and they were neither strippers, nor pros, and were paid in stupid apparel.

According to US tax law, you are responsible for any mistakes made by your accountant.

Hugh Heffner pays his models very very well, and they go through an extensive screening process. Joe Francis finds drunk kids and offers them a cheap tank top. I don't see the two as analogous at all.

Joe Francis is carbon based. But there the similarity between us ends.

Maybe I just don't know how to defraud the IRS, but I always wonder how people who publicly make shit tons of money think that they're going to get away with not paying taxes on it. The IRS knows all anyway--but they're especially likely to know it if everyone else in the country also knows you're making a ton of money too.

No, I wouldn't.

And It's not even because I'm going to be all high and mighty and say I'm a better human being than him, and that's why I wouldn't be in his position.

I wouldn't be in his position because I'm not as fucking dumb as he is.

i actually went to high school with one of the girls.. and she brought a fake id to get into the video.. then cried and said she was forced.. and at school said 'and thats why i want to be an actress.' when asked about the authenticity her crying... not condoning it.. but figured it might add some insight.

PANAMA CITY, Fla. Apr 12, 2007 (AP)_ ..................When he learned of the new charges, Joe Francis waived his right to a bond hearing for the contempt of court charge that had led to his being jailed. Francis cried as his mother blew him a kiss while he was led from a federal court room back to his cell.

I don't know if it's my mean side coming out, but just to be an asshat, if i were in the court room, i might of screamed "Hey Joe Francis' Mom, show me your tits and i will give you a crappy t-shirt!". Just to see what kind of reaction Joe would of had.

Just seeing him cry would of brought a little bit of joy to my day.

"I didn't do anything," he told his parents as he was led away, The News Herald of Panama City reported.

Yeah. This reminds me of a child, standing amongst a pile of broken dishes, they look up at you and say "I didn't do it".

Obviously if you're in court and jail Joe, YA DID SOMETHING!

Francis, 34, was charged with bribing a public servant, three counts of possessing a controlled substance and five counts of introducing contraband cash and drugs into a detention facility. The charges are third-degree felonies punishable by up to five years in prison.

Doesn't matter if they're addictive or not, you're not allowed to have them where he was at. Bribing a public servant (5 years), three counts of controlled substance (15 years), 5 counts of contraband (25 years). YaY! For 45 years in prison for Joe! I hope seeing the toxic green glowing butterfly was worth it!!

I just want to see this dude burn.....i really don't like him.
