i am doing a whole 'office space' approach to work.. its seems to be working out for the time beiing....

yeah I wish I could quit, but they sucked me in with the money I make....bastards! Sometimes I feel like an ass for complaining, like I'm spoiled, but it really does suck to work there.

...You start making up flashy sounding names to describe your job, ie...
Civic Disposal Engineer = Road Sweeper...

...You have to get paid loads of money just to do said job...

...You tell people you're a pilot...

You know you should quit your job...
...When you wake up and think 'I really don't want to go to work...
Sure, who doesn't want to chill all day, but when you really don't want to go into work, that's when it's time to move on...

i hate my job because there's no challenge and it's often totally boring.
at the same time i like it because i make WAY too much money for retail and i get to play a lot of games.
i hate it because i have to explain to seniors why MS Word costs $400.
i love it because i get to watch seniors send email to each other and smile because they're not being left behind.
i quit.

i'm going to school so i can get smart. and poor.

you should never stay at a job that you can't stand.

some days we don't wanna go in, that's cool. but if it's EVERY day, that's when it's time for a new job.

the longer you stay at the soul-suckin' j-o-b the harder it'll be to find something else. if you hate your job that much, you'll end up hating everything else. including yourself. i've been down that path, and there's nothing there put piles of ass.

find something new. start looking today.

Best thing is not to get a job you're not really interested in 'just for the money'...
If you're not a 'people person' or don't like getting yelled at, then retail's a nono... I'd recommend office work to anyone over retail any day of the week... It may be a bit boring at times, but at least people are polite and friendly most of the time

i'd seriously think that would go a long way to solving a lot of the work related tensions. instead of going to seminars on team-work and having cheers, we could have an hour each day where everyone just goes outside and kicks the shit out of eachother. no shirts, no shoes, just pure aggression.

then the next time you and they guy next to you are on the outs you can say, "hey, man, remember that time you kicked my ass?"

"yeah, that was cool. i'm sorry i ragged you out about the Robertson report."

"that's okay."

Not on purpose, but thats just what happened. Bad day at work? New livejournal entry. Then it started happening day after day after day.

And I'm STILL only making $6.00 an hour...they didn't even give me a yearly raise, even AFTER a review. I work my butt off for them. UGH. If I could get another job I would leave, but I can't b/c of stupid USA immigration laws.

heh maggots. yeah at the kennel there are a lot of flies. i had to clean out a garbage can full of maggots today. mmmmmmmm

People always piss me off when I'm at work. They must teach you in business school to make circumstances as ridiculous as possible if you're running a business of any sort, or else the employees might enjoy working there or some garbage.

my job sucks AND its low-paying. so there.

I know this is going to piss you all off but I my job. It keeps me challenged on a daily basis. I get paid well to actually think. I help people and make their lives easier and they don't even know I do it.
There are days it's sort of a drag but then I come on the boards and read how much everyone else's job blows and then I say again, I LOVE MY JOB!!!

Geeze, I guess I am a minority here.

My job pays decent wage for a guy in college, and the people I work with are great. Aside from a few seagull managers, it's like a big happy family in the bull-pen where we take customer service calls. I couldn't imagine staying at a job I hated. Yeah, we all have to pay bills in life, but is it really worth it, spending most of your existance miserable and just squeezing by?

i get great pay for what i do, but i don't like going to work. i have the patience of Job when it comesto the usual bullshit at the workplace. i won't be able to stand much more,though. when i leave the company it's going to be on my terms. if things go well, i'll just step off proud and all.

and if they fuck with me...

i work at radio shack (or Radi-ho smack)

a guy comes in today asking for a battery, he dosent know which one, and didnt bring it with him... he says it looks like a C battery but smaller... WE HAVE LIKE 600 DIFFERENT BATTERIES THAT WE SELL... IM NOT PSYCHIC!!

everyone knows that radio shack asks for a name and address with each purchase. i cant stand it when old men come in, and look at me like im a germ when i ask for their address... like they didnt know we ask!

i also hate it when people expect us to know everything and be their technical support... i dunno what ohm-age is necessary for a resistor in some piece of equipment that ive never heard of....
