When was the first time you felt all growed up?

sometimes i still look around and wonder how and when i became a grown up. i feel grown up whenever something goes wrong at the house and i have to call a repair person. and also when my mom died and i had to sit with my brother and sister (also grown ups) and make funeral arrangements. that was probably the grown-uppest i've ever been. but mostly on the other days i'm not a grown up at all.

I'm still barely a grown up... My kids make me feel old though.

That sounds like my life. I found out my wife was cheating on me, moved back into my parents house, and I had a bunch of friends take her side. Don't know why she was in the wrong. Plus I lost my step son who I was in the process of adopting. But anyway it was when my step son was born that I felt all growed up. Yes I was dating my ex-wife when he was born.

Pouring salt on a table at Popeyes Chicken then being snapped-on by a 9 and 13 year old girls.
It kinda puts things in perspective when little brats are yelling at you for doing stupid shit, you start to realize your age.

Christ, that was the worst. The 'are men in black suits with suspicious bulges in their jackets going to come for me?' feeling. The 'are they going to shut off my electricity and take away my [stereo|record collection|precious stuffed animals]?' feeling.

I can't remember the first time. But I think it's an on and off battle. Some times I do and sometimes I don't.

So what your saying is that your sometimes grown up and sometimes your not. Sometimes your a big boy sometimes your a little boy.

when i still lived with xmachinax, we went grocery shopping together. coupons and everything. we got like 200 dollars worth of groceries. it was the most grown up id ever felt.
