But the Australians have made a step in the teleportation direction too:

If you faced the air-fares we do to go anywhere interesting, you'd be investigating teleportation too. *sigh*

Scientists have already teleported a Caesium gas cloud...apparently quantum entaglement exploits a loophole in Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principle.

It may be a while before they can teleport chocolate bars (like with Wonka-vision...) though, let alone people...

I didn't really understand most of that, but if it means we're getting closer my day is a teensy bit brighter.

Basically Heisenberg states that 'The more precisely
the position (of an atom or particle) is determined, the less precisely the momentum is known.'

Quantum entanglement side-steps this issue of positioning and momentum as the position of a particle can be determined by the position of the particles interacting with it...therefore teleportation is now a scientific fact, not just science fiction.

Talkie Toaster? That would suck! "Would you like some toast? How about a nice biscuit? Or some waffles?"

dear, sweet pause button, how I adore thee. Guilt-free sleep. Could you imagine how productive we could all be if we just paused everything to get some shut-eye?

I've never even thought of a "save game" option, but that sounds fucking brilliant.

My husband and I are working on the teleporter thing, honest. whatever

One of my strongest held beliefs is that world peace would be that much closer if we would just invent replicators.

*sigh* If only Star Trek were real...

a machine like in that episode of star trek the next generation, that David Ogden Stiers guest starred on, that vaporizes people when they turn 55. I don't want to vaporize everyone, just David Ogden Stiers, cause he was an asshole to Hawkeye, and I don't know the difference between TV and reality.
