btw I think Brad Renfro would work out REALLY well. He's young, hot, has that whole "bad boy" thing going from getting arrested a few times...and he aready has a thick southern accent.

I was in SGChat a while ago, and I would not stop babbling about how Brad Renfro should be Gambit. He's not a bad actor. I've liked him in quite a few roles. He's cute, and he has all of those things that Tekky mentioned going for him. Yeah.
It's easier to master a New Orleans accent if you have a natural Southern accent. I don't know why, but that's what all of the acting/dialogue coaches say.
Maybe it would be better to cast an unknown as Gambit. An unknown who could act. And unknown who could act and who is a native New Oreans...er.
