Recently i've been getting some tattoos - had one done each weekend for 2 weeks. The 1st tattoo was a trial one to see what the pain would be like before the big one - wasn't bad smile

First tattoo (says Spirit/Soul)

My 2nd tattoo was last weekend - took 2.5hrs and my arm was really inflamed, so they called it a day. Need to have 30mins more work done to it though.

Seconds tattoo (top left symbol is Eternal, top right symbol is love. Bottom symbols say Always In My Heart - verified by a friend in Singapore smile):

Second tattoo was so I will always remember the woman I lost. My soul mate.

Anyway, tattoo #2 is pissing me off - it's day 4 and the scabs are falling off all over the place and everytime i move my arm, it feels like I am tearing more off LOL
I've not been picking it, just gently moving my hand over the top to remove any really loose bits - but jesus there's a lot on my floor LOL

Both photos were taken a few hours after having it done smile

Anyway - is it normal for the scabs to 'crack' like this? I tried normal moisterisers but no luck.

In my experience (and I have alot), tattoos scab over and then flake off. Four days is pretty good for healing. but if their cracking and bleeding, that's no good. i always used vaseline intensive care lotion, but a cholesteral based ointement has worked for me too, and came recomended from some pretty good tattoo artists. The best thing to do though is go to the shop where you had it done and let them take a look at it. They are profesionals, and would be able to steer you in the right direction. (edited for spelling so the SG grammar police wouldn't catch me)

Thanks peeps - will try some more lotion on it. When it cracks, it doesn't bleed - only time it has bled since the 1st night was when my cat walked over me in my sleep and slipped - doh!
Not a lot, and no scab came off tongue
