i learned french in high school. i could actually communicate some with it then. i went to montreal and did okay until people started asking me questions. i can do accents pretty well, so i usually end up sounding like i'm more fluent than i really am. though when i was in montreal i had to communicate with this chinese guy speaking canadian french with a chinese accent. i was so glad when he spoke some english.

but anyway, i took a little spanish in college and still can't speak it.

i'd love to relearn french and i'd like to learn how to speak gaelic. probably the scottish dialect of it though.

i really think that america should jump on the bandwagon of teaching small children foreign languages. it would be so much easier for everyone.
