Also, as to the comparison of this film to other "zombie films": if you look at this as just another zombie flick, it's subpar. But if you look at the whole film as not being about zombies, but being an allegory of human violence and survival, it's brilliant.

Personally, I couldn't give a rat's ass about zombie flicks in general, so I liked it.

What I loved was how the main character (I forgot his name) became just like the infecteds (but able to plot and scheme) when he became enraged. It really brought out the point that the infecteds *were not zombies*, but just people who had been totally and completely consumed with rage. It was also something to notice that the infecteds didn't go after him, because he had succumbed to rage and was (temporarily) just like them.

very interesting commentary that
adds another dimension to the narrative

I thought it was a great movie!
But, admittedly, its not really a zombie movie. It's a "Man's inhumanity to Man" movie that just happens to have zombies.
Personally, I liked everything about it and thought it was one of the best horror movies I've ever seen.

And yeah, I thought that the ending was a copout too. I was kinda hoping that theyd be all happy and see a plane and then the US fighter pilots would drop a nuke on em.

Ok, I'm slow because indie foreign movies take a while to get here, but I thought it was fucking excellent.. my heart was pounding when my friend dropped me off at my car and left, leaving me all alone in the parking lot for a few minutes. My stomach hurts from all the suspense. Great flick. I like some of the jokes in it, like the rats running from the plague.. and that animal activists were the ones that ended up unleashing armageddon.

Did anybody see Disco Pigs, also staring Cillian Murphy? 28 Days Later and Disco Pigs were two completely different movies that still had an awful lot in common. If you haven't seen DP, you suck. If any group of people should be tuned into and maybe even becoming obsessed with old Cillian, it's us. Mark my words: three years from now he'll be the British Johnny Depp and Kiethed will have done at least one SG interview with him.
