Pissed on a cattle fence. I don't recommend that. Another time I reached to unplug a heat gun, but the plug wasn't all the way in, so I grabbed the prongs. I don't recommend that either.

The light switch in the bathroom of my last apt. was all screwy and sometimes it would just go off and you would have to flick it up and down to make it go back on. I did this once with one foot still in the shower and my hand all wet. So not only did I get fried, but I was butt nekkid too. I was very confused and shaky for several days.

I've been shocked a bunch of times, but I would have to stay the most interesting time was this kid in high school made a tazer thingy with a couple of capacitors.
He shocked me right on the base of my neck, I fell to the ground and twitched for a while. Afterwords I pulled my shirt off and noticed that a bunch of the nerves in my back where hi-lited red ( from the burning ) it actually looked kinda cool, sorta like a tree.

it is well known that anything that uses electricity hates me. its just the way it is.
tho it is rather funny i happened upon this thread tonight.
about an hour ago i went to go turn the light switch on and i got zapped, i wasn't really paying attention and my finger went into the socket instead of the light switch.

RxQueen = smart cookie whatever

but yeah that knocked me right to the floor.
my hair was wet and i'm still shakeing.

I was standing on top of this 75 ft. water tower last summer during this really bad thunder & lightning storm. It was in the middle of this wide open field.I found this 15 ft. aluminun pole.So stupid me desided to hold it staight up in the air. when I leaned up against The metal railing. I realized I had something In me pocket. So reached In my Pocket To see what it was, But when I got it out it was to dark to see what it was. So stupid me decided to taste it.then and only then I realized it was a 9 volt battry, and it really shocked the shit out of my tongue

Yeah, the same as most here, cattle fences and semi-unplugged wires. I'll add that Microphones + guitars in poorly grounded/out-in-phase situations can supply a nice tingle in the US. Watch out in Europe though! eeek

I work in theatre, usually as Tech Director / head electrician.

I used to have straight hair.

Don't worry: it's the low voltage that can stop your heart: the high voltage just burns you. And that's ok.

Pissed on an electric fence when I was a kid. That fucking hurt. Plus, I took electronics all through high school- we were always shocking ourselves/each other.

Yeah, I've absorbed quite a few amps in my day.

I don't know who made it, but we had this "homemade" all metal light hanging over our pool table when I was a kid, and we used to fight over who would have to turn it on. That thing was evil, and would zap the shit out of you more often than not.

Also, one time (again as a kid) it was my turn to clean the kitchen after dinner. I was wiping off the old toaster with a wet sponge and got the shock of my life. From what I remember, I was frozen to the damn thing for a good couple of seconds and then fell to the floor in a daze. Nobody even noticed.

Ever since then ... if I'm going to wipe off the toaster I unplug it first. I don't mess with the electricity.

many times i have been touching the metal part of the plug while pulgging appliances into the outlets, but that is minor.

I once was working that the Huntington Beach US Open (surfing). I was working for Jamba Juice and we had a booth set up with electricity and running water. The electricity kept getting shut off... I don't know why, some kinda of overload or something so periodically while I was washing dishes I would feel a numbing sensation going through my arm.

They then realized that every time I stuck my hand into the dishwater I was being electricuted because the damn maintenance guys weren't plugging the power in the right way. so it was going through the metal sink and the water that it held.

Later that day I sang Rock the Casbah in a big yellow banana suit onstage in front of hot surfer guys.....good times, good times
