La Femme Nikita (french)
(the original) rocked my socks......yummy!!!!

It's on my list of Top 5 movies of all time (foreign or domestic)
The story line flows so well, that no dialogue (or subtitles) are necessary.

It depends on whether "In the Army Now" with Pauly Shore counts, because I saw it dubbed into Russian. If so, that is my answer.

If not:
A Better Tomorrow II
Amelie
Brotherhood of the Wolf
Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon
Goodbye Lenin
the Killer
Life is Beautiful
Love and Anarchy
the Motorcycle Diaries
the Samurai Trilogy
Seven Beauties
Seven Samurai

Amelie
Ma Vie En Rose
La Femme Nikita
Run Lola Run

If you haven't seen Ma Vie en Rose, you really should. It's Belgian I believe, french is the language spoken. It is about a transgendered little boy who lives in the suburbs with his parents and how they and the neighborhood deal with it. It is sad in some parts, but really sweet, too.

I have lots of favorite movies! I'm a big film fest goer.

First off, I can't stand Ju-on and even Ringu. They were bad Japanese movies, and they are bad remakes.

If you want good Asian horror, stick with directors like Takashi Miike. His movie "One Missed Call" is his way of poking fun at movies like "The Ring" and doing it better too!
"Tale of Two Sisters" is probably my favorite horror movie from a different country. (directed by Ji-woon Kim) You may not completely understand the ending, the director uses a lot of imagery to throw you off and I think the translation is not what it should be. But nevertheless, the filming is beautiful, the colors are vivid, and there are lots of creepy scenes that make your skin crawl!

If you just want to see two girls beat on each other check out "2LDK". It is an awesome movie and the whole film concept is just wonderful....two girls, one location, that's it. It's funny, it's gory.........need I say more?

There is also a whole world of good, foreign non-Asian movies.....
"Fuehrer Ex" is by far one of my favorite movies! Na klar, because I speak German...so maybe I'm a bit biased when it comes to movies in that language. My best friend and I quote "Fuehrer Ex" constantly! This movie gets compared to American History X a lot...but it shouldn't. It has a totally different point of view and overall feel to it.

Another movie that is good that only came out last year is "Next Door" directed by Pål Sletaune. This is a psychological thriller that is everything movies like "Identity" and "The Sixth Sense" wanted to be....but failed. This is one of my most recent favorites! Lots of sex, lots of gore, lots of awesome film-work!

"Scent of Green Papaya" (vietnamese) is wonderful and raptuous, if you can take the quiet of it. It appears pastoral, but a world of humanity churns just under it's surface.
Love that movie.
