Dick Valentine, lead singer of The Electric Six, and I, carried on a conversation lasting well into the night. The hours were lost as we spoke in tongues long forgotten by mortal men. What really happened at Roswell? Where is Jimmy Hoffa? How were the pyramids built? Will Ben and J.Lo last? All these things and more were revealed to me as I sat cradling the phone on the edge of my hotel room bed. Unfortunately, the government, citing an obscure clause of the Patriot Act, confiscated the first...
yeah I saw the Wild Bunch in Columbus, OH last year and picked up the 7" with Danger High Voltage! I wonder how limited it is? This band played for 20 people that night and they didn't hold back an ounce.... even though the white kids weren't dancing. I'm glad its different a year later. Or maybe Columbus is just lame? I did move the fuck out of there.
Sounds excellent. Great interview! I like this style and pace real good earthy feel not too involved. *APPLAUSE*. Haven't heard em now I am going to check um out RIGHT NOW!
P.S Keith, why do you keep referring to them as "The" Electric Six (with a capital as if it were part of their name). I also resent that you refer to the UK as England. Sorry to nitpick

You haven't noticed? I always capitalize The if a band is known as The ___ ___, The Flaming Lips, etc. It is part of their name, to me. U.K. vs. England, I'm guilty, but haven't you ever referred to the U.S.A. as "America"?

That's slightly different to grouping 3 countries and calling them after only one.
dammit.
I'm editing to add these to show I'm only messing with you keith
Enjoy them while you can. Word around Detroit is they broke up the day their major label debut hit stores. Seems the label wanted a bigger hand in the running of the group and half of the lineup left when they were told their opinions don't mean a thing anymore. Of course, this was a couple of weeks ago, but their hometown CD release gig ended up getting cancelled last Friday.
1. They player here in Minneapolis last night, so doesn't look like they broke up. Plus I haven't heard any about it from my Detroit connections (my hometown).
2. The "debut" is called "Fire". "Danger! High Voltage" is just an EP (if you can even call it that).
3. I call it their "debut" because they put out a live album as the Wildbunch with many of the songs that are on "Fire".
good interview. theyre a good band live, if a little off sometimes. i saw them at a club in lansing, mi, and they made a crack about magic johnson having died in the middle of the set. everyone knew it was a joke, but the whole place when silent. joking about that guy isnt a good idea near msu's campus.
