Gary Sinese, West 44th street. Righ outside the back door of a Broadway theatre in the middle of the afternoon on a weekday. Just loitering there. I stopped. "You're Gary Sinese."
"Uh, yea..." He said through his teeth.
"I really like your stuff." (Gag me I'm a dork). And I kept walking.
He smiled great big "Thank you, thank you very much." And he looked like he was sincere (or maybe just plain grateful I wasn't hounding him for an autograph). He seemed really nice. It was a cool moment.
I've met Henry Rollins, Quentin Tarantino, Hiro (from the Polysics) and used to see Tom Waits around town occasionally when I lived in Santa Rosa, I never talked to him though, as I had heard several horror stories regarding people pointing him out in public.
Chuck Palahniuk, twice, at a book signing, so that sorta counts.
He sent me a package because I gave him a little moleskine notebook and in it was a letter thanking me and saying he uses it everyday. Also, he threw in a nip of crown royal.
Jesse Michaels (Operation Ivy, Common Rider), Dan Lumley and Mass Giorgini of Screeching Weasel fame. Both of them were in Common Rider as well. Chris #2 from Anti-Flag. Yellowcard, who didn't pay much attention to me because I wasn't a teenage girl. Went bowling with Less Than Jake, too.
