I saw the one with Seth Green, that was pretty funny.
I liked the one with I think it was Pink when they were accusing her of stealing motorcycles. She had the best reaction.

Okay, I live in Canada, so I've never seen the show; therefore, my opinion is far from well informed. But I'm just wondering how intentional MTV''s choice of a moniker for this show was. Taking into account their perpetual and shameless co-opting of urban (mostly) African-American culture, and delivering said culture in a less likely to offend and homogenized package directly into the homes of (mostly) white suburban kids who so desperately want to know what's cool in the "hood", or how they talk in the "hood", I find it hard to believe that the decision makers at MTV were unaware of the connotations of the word punk in contemporary ebonics. For those unaware: a "punk" is a young homosexual man, and rest assured that the term is seldom, if ever, used in a positive manner. So what the fuck? How fucking insensitive...it's a disturbing use of the word, which is unlikely to raise much of fuss, since I doubt many of the GLAD people are even aware of this new synonym for "fucking faggot" being used within certain cultural groups. Not cool though MTV; you should be ashamed. mad

You read that in Dan Savage's column this week.

I award you no points.

I say deduct 10 points for failing to note that "young homosexual man" has been an archaic definition of "punk" since before colage was born. If it's been re-assigned that meaning by hip-hop culture, that's something else, but Pink and that Malcolm in the middle kid are hardly names that suggest a hip-hop idiom.

Hell, deduct 20 points for drawing me into this totally irrelevant argument.

I think alot of the show is clearly staged. Also, the schtick with the little kid asking dumb questions to celebrities on the red carpet is just a watered down version of Stuttering John from the Howard Stern show.

I fucking love this show. Ashton Kutcher makes me smile, and I like watching celebrities suffer.

So if 'punk' now means 'gay,' does that mean we can't talk about punk rock anymore? Come on now.

Yeah, the show can sometimes be funny, but sometimes the bits just don't work, and Ashton Coochfucker is the most annoying dude on tv. I say they should put him in a jail cell with a big tattooed up prisoner and let him get punk'd.
