I also agree with the nose. I've had a ring for years and have never had a problem, plus I think you'd always be able to see and eyebrow stud in the corner of your eye.

I also MIGHT get a labret piercing if the nose thing goes well and looks okay.

If you're coming up for the Calgary event I know there's a good place there called Adorned. My friend Bryan gets all his stuff done there. I'm hoping to go when I'm down. Dunno if that's of any use, but it's a thought.

The Calgary event is looking less and less probable, and I don't want to wait that long anyway. I want a needle in my face NOW NOW NOW!!!

Aww...that's too bad...I was looking forward to meeting you. Ah well. I'll keep my fingers crossed I suppose.

Needle good... I want to get something done so very badly...

Oh trust me... I'm not sticking a needle in my face to be part of any cool crowd. That's not really my style.

I've been considering this for quite some time (two years or so). I've just never had the money to dedicate to it.

i say go with the nose because those are the options given...but personally i say go for both nipples. eeek
had mine done twice and thinking about getting them re-done again for the 3rd time....they feel absolutely fantastic...the only downside is that you end up caressing your boobs in public without realizing it...

well at least i did but that could be because i'm a huge pervert biggrin

You can see it out of the corner of your eye, and mine was quite small, plus hardly anybody noticed it, so I was the only one who saw it.
Thats just so pointless, so definately go for the nose ring, its more visible, looks better are heals quicker too.

awww how flattering to be an example here smile thanks!

and SORCHA!! Excellent decision!! i love my nose stud! and since you're looking into someplace in chicago, i would like to mention that i actually got my nose pierced in chicago! in The Alley! I highly, HIGHLY recommend it, too. the piercer there (i cannot remember his name, unfortunately) is sooooo sweet and gentle. he rocks. seriously, go there. then we can say we've had our nostrils pierced in the same place!! as if that makes a difference smile

anyway, good luck! you'll love it! (plus it barely hurt!)

I had a friend who had the same dilemma, didn't know what to get, thought they had about everything, so they just had someone pick a part at random and she went to a piercer and had it done. It looked good too (she got a barbell in the back of her neck, which I have always been a fan of for some reason, even though it's really rare), but she said it hurt like all holy hell getting it done, moreso than when she got her "girl parts" done. May be one to think about, I dunno. I just thought about that when I read your post.

and Sorcha: Nose. Although I dunno about a stud, those seem just to not look right IMO. A ring is much more suiting for nose piercings...

is that twice as in once, then you took em out...? or twice as in 2 sets of holes in each? I had 3 holes in each for a while (oh my poor little man-nipples!) -- horizontal in the front with a ring; vertical behind that with a barbell, and another horizontal behind that (which had to have a curved barbell, b/c the piercing was so deep) . The back ones were deep enough that they gave me some problems and i eventually took em out... my nipples were so little and flat that the first set in front was pretty much behind them......thanks to all the scar tissue, my nips are a little bigger now... when i had all 3 pieces of jewelry in it they stuck out like i was hiding raisins in my shirt

wink

A note on the nose ring idea:

My nose doesn't have the right shape for a nose ring. I know that sounds silly, but if you knew me in real life and could see my face from all angles, you'd know what I'm talking about.

That's why I used Elise as an example. Hers is the type of stud I want. It's relatively flat to the nose and doesn't stick up like a pimple. I've had classes with girls who've had similar nose studs, and I thought they looked classy.

The key is "classy" since I have to do presentations from time to time, and flat nose piercings seem to be more acceptable than rings and such. I know I shouldn't care about things like that, but I LOVE my job. tongue

If I'd gone through with the eyebrow barbell (not ring), I would have simply removed it for work and used those clear plastic "placeholders". (What are those called)?

Oh, and if I ever have the nerve to pierce my nipples, I want to get the swirly hoops like Nala's. I LOVE those.
