I Hate Nathan Barley...

Nathan Barley isn't actually a person, but a way of describing a certain type of guy... Best example of Nathan Barley was sitting opposite me on a train the other day with fake oakleys, fake designer shirt and constantly tapping away at his cellphone in an attempt to impress his blatantly underage girlfriend.
Nathan Barleys just really piss me off...
Anyone else find a certain type of person really irritating?

Yes I know the type. They're irritating as hell. Always trying to impress others. They dig the mainstream.
Also..if you try to show them some good music, they'll hate it. Once it reaches mass audiences, they'll love it.

Nothing. I only mentioned her as she was probably the only one that was impressed by his whole persona, which is basically what Nathan Barley is, a persona...

anyone that has a cell phone that goes off in the middle of class....especially after they have been warned,

people that dont put their cell phones on vibrate.

i must apoligize in advance for this next comment... to those of you that made this mistake and got it corrected, i commend you.....this is not directed at anyone in particular....

people with little tattoos, ones that were done at a shitty shop, probabally for less than the price of a happy meal, where you know if you asked them why they got it, they would just say "i just wanted to do it" or "so i could say i got one".... anything worth doing is worth doing right, so go get a badass tattoo, and spend the proper amount of money.

Ok...think about this for a minute. What you are doing is the same sort of close minded, bigoted, stereotyping that you complain about when it happens to you. Other people are free to choose different lifestyles than you. We may not understand why they would do so but that's their freaking choice. Just because you listen to "cooler" music does not make that choice in music right.
This world is big enough for all of us. I may not understand the frats, jocks, Barleys, sororities, preps, and business people of this world but...you know what? Until they start trying to force their world view down my throat either verbally or physically it has no bearing on my life. We should do the same for them.

Sadly, Nathan Barleys do force their world down people's throats, certainly here in the UK at any rate...
Nathan Barleys are the guys that always try starting fights in bars, they're the guys that think they're the Dons, and don't like being shown any different...
That's why I hate them...
I've no problem with people that have different lifestyles to mine, as long as they keep them to themselves, and that's something Nathan Barleys can't do...

gaaaah! i recently discovered that the guy who writes tvgohome and created nathan barley had sold a 50% stake in tvgogome to endemol, who are a hoooooge multinational tv production company and own the 'big brother' format amongst many other things.
