Yeh, some of the best times i had im my life were in my senior year in college. I wanted to drop out sophmore year because of anxiety problems. But Im glad I didnt.
i did the same california profeciency gig when i was 16.
Im still glad i left, Its hard to keep a good opinion of humanity in a place like that. Had i stayed i probably would have been a lot more bitter and judgemental. But when i left I got a job and went to college and still spoke to high school people every now and then, I realized they were all pretty innocent kids just trying to figure things out.
its like the lord of the flies, when you isolate a group of young people. Its easy to see the evil of society come out of a group of decent individuals.
seeing things like that helps me feel empathy for anybody anywhere even if it seems like theyre doing horrible things.
dropped out in grade eleven, went back. dropped out in grade twelve, went back to an 'alternative' school. then went back to public school. actually graduated after some deal-making with teachers so that i wouldn't fail. yay. dropped out of college. went back. it never ends.
Dropped out my junior year, moved out on my own at 16. I got my GED when I was knocked up with my first kid at 19.
I know, I sound like white trash, but hey. I don't have a college degree yet but I do the thing I love and I get to stay home with my kids a lot and go to school.
I've never regretted dropping out.
i graduated..but 43rd out of 493.
but i hated school i was bored shitless
then i went to college and my gpa is 3.85
so....i guess when im not bored i can actually do it.
-i got kicked out of school in sophomore year, i found another high school to take me. i dropped out with a month left in my senior year cause they weren't gonna let me graduate cause i skipped 73 days. i went back anyway the next year and graduated. then i did the rock star thing for the next 9 years (shows, tours,cd's,booze). and now i'm in college working toward a degree in forensic science.
