High School Drop Out?

who here dropped outta high school?

i did [not only that- i dropped out of CONTINUATION high school]

i noticed in another thread that L did.

who else?

public school 5th grade here.. does home school count? yeah i was one of "those" kids.. but i'm none the worse for wear.

nope..... college grad with no direction here

i know a guy that did that.

I dropped out as a senior needing only one class to finish.........had lots of really bad stuff happening at home at the time..........

I actually did the opposite...I stayed in high school a semester longer! I was such a complete fuck-up in my sophomore and junior years that I didn't have enough credits to graduate, and I didn't have the discipline to go to summer school. So I'm the only graduate in my class of 1984 & 1/2. My reunions are pretty low-key.

I dropped out 4 months before graduation...
and ended up getting my GED a year or so ago

my younger sister also dropped out of high school [following in my footsteps]. she also graduated from Cal berkeley, and was just accepted into davis veterinary school.

no offense to any of you, but how are these colleges accepting you if you dropped out? does it not show up on your transcript opr something?>

I didn't so much drop out as I was banned after drop-kicking my Trig. teacher in the groin.

high school sucked. i hated it. college was much cooler.

I dropped out . Well got kicked out after not going to school for 2 months . I thought it was cool at the time but after a few months I got bored and went to independent study and even graduated early .

Wait...your working on your SECOND high school diploma??

Kicked out two weeks before graduation for pissing on the Vice Principals desk....never looked back...

dropped out, went back part time, dropped out to stay home and do drugs, then went back my senior year and quit again. yeah things were nuts growing up to say the least. i got my GED sadly. it was just a reminder of all the stupid shit i had done that forced me to get one. id like to go to college but shit hasnt settled enough yet. one day tho.

i dropped out half way through my junior year, and then got my GED when i turned 18. I am now half way through college. I think dropping out was the best thing for me.

...i dropped out my second year of 10th grade...i gots my GED...heh

I took the california high school proficiency exam thing the day after I turned 16. If you pass they give you a piece of paper that says you know everything you need to learn in high school and let you go.

I was pretty stoked about the whole thing... getting a job quicker, starting college sooner, getting a cool car, guitars, toys, etc. But now I see my sister graduating this year and see all the fun she has with all the high school stuff. Annoys me cause I wish I could have stuck around and enjoyed being a kid for a few more years.
