Everyone with access to electricity knows a They Might Be Giants song. They might not know that they know it, but believe me, they do. Their biggest hits, "Ana Ng", "Istanbul", and "Birdhouse In Your Soul" aside, the band has been responsible for everything from the themes to TV's "Malcolm In the Middle" and "The Oblongs", to recent ads for Dr. Pepper. These unusual ways of sneaking into the popular consciousness have defined their strangely subversive legacy as one of the quintessential bands...

While I'm not a big fan, the documentary film coming out about TMBG is a great, great movie. Go see it!!!!

It's being released by the same folks who put out the Wilco movie.

I've been the only TMBG fan I know for years. I've got all of their albums (except for Lincoln) and quite a few bootlegs from the internet. I think it's so fucking cool that my favorite website does a piece on my favorite band. Once again, SG, you prove how unbelievably cool you all are. And TMBG rocks; let's hope they stay around for another twenty years.

TMBG interview on SG. I'm crying I am so happy. My two most favorite of acronyms have come together. I too have been a TMBG fan since tiny toons. And I never looked back! I have seen them with the same person at the same venue more than any other band (5times with my friend sara at lupo's). And their stuff just keeps getting better. Mink car is their best album yet. And two songs from NO! should up on my old company's soundtrack one month.

This interview begs the question....do these people knwo they're being interviewed by a porn site?

I work with seriously ill kids and one of them LOVES they might be giants, so my first instinct was to be all "Hey! You got to check out this interview!"

Then I thought maybe pointing a kid to a porn site might not be a good idea. Still, big props for the article.

Did anyone see them at the Aladain last week? I heard it was a really good concert.
Apparently they will be performing here at Reed in Kaul Auditorium in November. I'll definately be going to that.

Of course! Yeah, we talked about it actually. What I told him was even though it seems weird to promote a kid's record on a porn site, everyone here is an adult, and a lot of them probably have kids -- and would kill for some tolerable kid's music.

TMBG is the 'family' band for us. Everyone from my wife (oldest) through our 2 sons, ages 22 & 4 loves them boys.
They were our oldest son's first pop/rock concert.
