Lesa said: Okay so most girls... (I said MOST) are romantics at heart. A lot of girls dig being swept off our feet, being treated like "women", doors opened, chairs pulled out, helped with our coats, flowers on special occasions, or maybe for no reason at all - etc. But when it comes to romance, for the most part, so many guys seem to have missed that boat.
Why do you think girls are bigger romantics than guys?
Maybe I read this wrong, but it sounds as if WANTING these things, not GIVING these things makes women "romantic." So, in all fairness, us guys are just as romantic in that some (not all) of us might be looking for some of the same little sentimental "gifts" that all y'all are looking for.
Personally, I bent over backwards being waht you describe as romantic with an ex. And the well dried up. Why? Because she never returned the sentiment. I got burned out always giving and never receiving. No surprise she's the ex, huh?
It's a two-way street. You gotta give to get...not in all cases, but most.
