Make your case.

Here's the rules.
1. Ford or Chevy only.....the rest of you can piss off wink
2. Gimme a real reason, not "just because"
3. Try to keep it civil.

let the games begin

Oh, I think you know where I'm coming from, brother. Ford, born and raised. Not that I can't appreciate other marques, but my tastes lean VERY heavily toward the blue oval, particlularly 1966 and earlier. And my opinions are based on the fact that the last true American cars ceased production in 1973. Everything after that is crap. Crap, crap, crap...

And thanks for giving me another reason to post a picture of my baby. ;-)

It's a simple decision people...

Only one auto maker developed the Thunderbird.
And that auto maker was Ford.

I'll take a 50s Pontiac over a chevy...and especially over mopar to which the phrase "you get less than you pay for" is especially appropos.

done.

i owned a ford focus and now a ford ranger, but i think that both are starting to pay homage to their roots.. like the 2005 mustang and the impala . but i would have to say ford, even though the gave me shit when i applied for credit with the focus.

I'd say after 1967 when they outlawed cool looking metal dashboards!

Agreed, googuse. But I had to extend to 1973 to include my Mustang (73) and early 70s Chevelles.

There is NOTHING sexier than a black cherry, 1968 Camaro with centerline wheels and fat tires.

That, my friends, is a Chevy. And I would be willing to bet the phrase "sex on wheels" was coined for that car!!!!!!!!

Ford--for the truck value. They haul and we had this 1970 avacado green truck whose engine caught fire once (not it's fault) and it still ran like a brute. You would get pushed back in the seat from the g-force of going from 10 to 15 miles an hour.

Yeah! Ford!

Me too, but mine is a '69. Not only is she sexy and reliable, but it's fairly easy to find parts when the need arises. I understand that Ford has a history of discontinuing replacement parts, which may contribute to difficulty when repair time comes. It helps that my daddy has worked in the machine shop of an auto parts store for 3 or 4 decades, too.
