Well, first and formost, i didnt know where to post this topic, so i'll just do it here... since i guess you can post random stuff in this forum.
the other morning i woke up and had a sorta 'vision', i guess. my brain was slipping out of dream state and switching over to 'reality mode' and i guess that's when i'm at my most creative. the following is what just kinda seeped into the forefront of my consciousness...
mind you, i'm not and enviromentalist or anything, i dont care about pollution or war or any of those political issues, this is just a wierd thought...
HERE GOES...
I hope everyone is aware that our PLANET, Earth, is, in itself, a living 'thing'. it's 4 billion years old, and kinda hard to imagine being alive by anymeans, but it is. we are a biproduct of it's life processes, as is the rest of the 'life' we see on it's surface.
as i was waking up, i realized that WE are like a sort of POLLEN to this planet. we're seriously on the brink of leaving it and oving to another planet or moon and spreading it's life processes there and then across the stars. we're just arrogant enough to think we're doing it for ourselves, and myabe that's what we need to be motivated.
for example, sex... i try not to be a sex driven person, but i find myself doing the most stupid things as persuit of some tail. *shrug* then again, i'm a guy.
we dont realize we're doing this as part of our most basic programming... to reproduce and move to new areas. maybe that's what 'Mother Earth' wantrs us to do, move on to another planet and spread life there, in effect giving birth to another living planet.
i could go on all day about the ideas that are coursing through my head... but i'll leave those for discussion.
At first I thought no...but then if you look at the state of world affairs it becomes apparent that team planet is quite a bit like team rocket...approximately 50% female, 48% male, and 2% both/neither.

Well, as long as it's not human life... Don't get me wrong, I enjoy being a human and all that, but I've always said, there's only one thing wrong with Nature - humanity. Personally, I think Mama Earth is getting pretty fed up with us humans polluting her waters, poisoning her air, plundering her earth and destroying her ozone. I think she's getting ready to shake us off her back like so many bothersome insects. It is the height of hubris to think that humanity is the pinnacle of creation. My 5 cents (adjusted for inflation)...
ya know what, in regards to Mama Earth being pissed off, you gotta realize that she's one tough mofo. i'm pretty sure she could survive a nuclear holocaust and come out swingin'. this planet will be alive and thiving LONG after we've gone the way of the DoDo.
humans are the top of the food chain at this point, or so we think, we're going to be the ones whole take parts of this planet to toher places and start creating new life out of nothing...
it's so wierd, all of this is just becoming so clear to me now...
also, we could torch every tree on the face of this planet, and live under the waves just fine. well over HALF of the oxygen that is produced comes from the ocean, not the forests. seeing that land is only about 25% of the surface of the earth and trees cover only about HALF of that, we're talking about around 12% of the total surface area of the planet, and a third of that is going through winter climates constantly, so... 8% of the surface of the earth are the trees everyone cares about so much... guess what? that other 75% is CONSTANTLY producing clean FRESH air for us and everythign else to breathe.
i saw we move under the waves. eat lotsa fish, cuz it's gooooood for our diets anyway, and let the land go back to it's prehistoric state. who knows what might happen then.
This is starting to sound like that Kevin Costner movie...
Hell, I've always wanted to be a mermaid; let's give it a shot! You're right, Mama is a whole lot tougher than we'll ever know. I still think she's a little tworked at us, though...
I'd like to be/under the sea/in an octopus' garden/in the shade... (we need a mermaid smiley)
