Hellraiser 1&2, TCM 1&2, Halloween 1 and the new one was fairly entertaining, NOES (all cause they are hallarious - FREDDY). House 1K Corpses was cool, but it wasn't great. I liked the look and feel of it. Fun to watch too.

i think maximum overdrive, return of the living dead, and the texas chainsaw massacre scared the bejesus out of me. my mom rented it for me when i was like 13 and she went out for the night so i was all alone in the house. a couple minutes after putting the movie on i got a call, the caller asked what was i watching, then i asked who it was and the caller said it was a friend, and i asked again same reply, needless to say i was scared shitless. i took the tape out and ran to my room to get a weapon. so i went back down stairs and about 40 minutes later my heart rate was normal again so i started to watch it again. about five minutes later the phone rang.... my heart about stopped.... it was the same creepy caller. i yelled as many cuss words that i knew at the time slammed the phone down , turned all the outside lights on and ran around the house with a bat. my neighbors probably thought i was on pcp or something... so i went back inside and didnt watch it till the next day. i was so relieved when my mom , sister and brother returned. to this day if the phone rings when i watch it , my heart jumps eeek

I rented it off of netflix over a year ago but I can not remember what it is called. What a strange little movie it was.

Psychomania?

Anyway, I agree with all of PervyPunks choices and will add I Brought a Vampire Motorcycle, a quality film, and Wild Zero, a Japanese Zombie movie with Rock and Roll, exploding heads and general oddness.

Just saw a long-lost gem of a movie! It's called "Trick Or Treat", and it features cameos by Gene Simmons and Ozzy Osbourne!
It's about a Devil-worshipping heavy-metal singer who comes back from the dead to ravage the town he grew up in, and the outcast metalhead who unknowingly helps him come back to life.

Plus the lead is the kid who played Skippy on "Family Ties"!!!

It was really fun! And I couldn't believe I had never heard of it before! Has anyone else seen this?

I remember Trick or Treat being a bit of a disappointment at the time. Although it's been so long that I dont' remember why.
My favorite horror films are Begotten and The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari. I also have a soft spot for The Mummy, mostly because of Zita Johann.

Horror is one of my fav genres to watch so it's really hard to pick just one. I love anything from the B movies to the old B&W's. "The Haunting" 1963 version is a great classic, the way they filmed that was fantastic. Rosemary's Baby and The Exorcist are also one's I have to watch if they are on. But, I suppose I would have to say "The Shining" - I just love everyting about that movie, the score, the set and the concept. Although I am a big Kubrick fan. I finally bought the DVD a couple years ago. I like to put it on from time to time when I'm in the mood, either to watch it or as background flavor.
