Night Of The Living Dead. I goes above and beyond the call of duty. It's not just scary, it's not just moody, it's not just a wicked bit of social commetary, but it's all those things and a great study of human nature, to boot. Every time I walk by a cemetary I usually catch myself thinking of what to do, should that cemetary empty out.

The Changeling is a close second, though.

the sentinel is really good as is suspiria
i really liked house of 1000 corpses for different reasons
i like movies that make me tense
and oh yeah i got a bit creeped out when the girl came out of the well in the ring.
and the alien in signs made me jump.

Dog Soldiers, a britflick version of Aliens with a bunch of squaddies fighting werewolves. Low budget but a brilliant script and contains one of my all time favourite lines: "I am not breaking radio silence just cos' you lot got spooked by a dead fucking flying cow! " skull

Audition was fantastic! I love how it went from romantic comedy to mystery/thriller to flat out horror so seamlessly! But maintained a dark undertone throughout.

And Dog Soldiers rocks. That movie is a flat out blast.

The changeling was a great film! -Used to scare me smile Most horror makes me laugh... Texas chainsaw mass, 1,2 and 3 -are all great.. i use to own the uncut version of pt 1 - still own leatherface ..the torture that is involved with that film, is wht i think is the scary thing, esp the first one, i can imagine such a place ya know? -
and then haha Evil dead use to scare me when i was little.. but the 2nd and 3rd of those are hilarious

shining is great have any of you seen the new one they made?
its awful! - you cant make a second shining and expect it to be better than the first. - jack nicholas, plays an amazing part in that film, as well as the olive oil pop-eye wife.... my friendds mom looks a lot like her.
i <3 horror

Texas chainsaw massacre is my all time favorite, Funny how someone said they found TCM boring but then said they loved house of 100 corpses??? being House of 1000 corpses coulda been called texas chainsaw massarce 2003, there were no original ideas in that piece of crap movie, all rob did was throw together all his favorite moves together because like songs, he's a shitty script writer.

I don't normally get scared because of a horror movie, but "The Ring" really freaked me out.

I laughed all the way through "The Exorcist". I thought the devil was funny. smile

For classic late 70s/early 80s, rent "Alone in the Dark". It's creepy and fun.

The ring wasnt alll that bad... not as gory as i would have liked- but none the less it was pretty good... wasnt it something like pg13 too? one of the few pg13 films i actually liked bok

Zombies are great- and the girl from 'Return of the living dead' is really hot- after she becomes a evil zombie whore - it was actually her various amount of lip rings that imspired me to pierce mine skull
