JUNKO 0.001 89.716 3961

Sorry in advance to anyone who's name is Junko (maybe a future SG name!)

It's a Japanese name. Wouldn't be too common in the US, I'd imagine, but it's normal in Japan.

Knowing it's japanese has taken away some of the strange-ness away. But yeah, it sounds Japanese I guess.

If your real name is a stereotypical German name (like Olaf), then it probably fell out of use in the US from anti-German backlash during WW I and WW II.

Michael's at number 4.

Godammit, it's that common, and people still need to ask me, almost every single time, whether it's spelt with an 'ae' or 'ea'? blackeyed

I guess I have to lay blame on the 'e' before 'a' rule...

I used to know a Micheal. I think his parents thought they were being creative, but really, they've just condemned their son to a lifetime of misspellings.

That link may come in handy since I am still trying to find a middle name for the baby.

My dad and brother are both named Michael, and I still have to give it a moment's thought before I write it out.
