i was. i had a blast the entire time i was in it.

one time while camping we found someones weed growing area. so we stole it and smoked it useing a brown paper bag as rolling papers. being boy scouts we were really good at plant identification.

also we would raid other boyscouts camp sites by tearing down tents while they were sleeping and what not. it was general chaos.

Speaking as a person who has been on both Boy and Girl Scout camping trips, Boy Scouts have so much more fun. Dammit!

how did you get to go on boy scout trips. that used to be the topic of many campfire talks. of how cool it would be if girls could go camping with us.

I always wanted to go camping when I was in the boy scouts but my Dad would never take me. No big loss though, the other guys in the troop were big jerks.

I dominated in the raingutter regatta...but was severely crushed in the pinewood derby.

dude camping every month rain snow or shine. one time it actually snowed and we stayed the entire weekend.
dureing the summer we went on 2, week long trips. one of the best was camping in the middle of eagland airforce base. it was a 10 mile hike basically until we found a cool camping area.

My brother was a Scout and their trips usually included families, too. Take into account that I am ten years younger than my brother, so it clearly added nothing to the boys' fun to have me along.

I was a Boyscout.

Its funny how many times 'be prepared' has saved my ass.

I wouldn't be half the man I am without those experiences as a boy.

I stayed at a brownie camp (brownies are soon to be girl scouts) when I was a little girl. We got to sleep in a covered wagon and I was SO excited cause it seemed neat. Well, one night I woke up and had to pee SUPER bad so I woke the chaperone up and asked if I could go and she told me NO! So I ended up peeing my pants cause she wouldn't let me out! That bitch!

That was the end of my girl scout experience but let me tell you, they make some DAMN FINE cookies!

family members usually didnt come unless they were scout masters. it was a time for us basically to run around in the woods and go crazy.

i was... eagle scout believe it or not and yes, i did have some good times.

unfortunately, their current attitudes towards gays and religion have forced me to really look down on the scouts as an organization. it is a shame that people can't be more open minded and understanding of "alternative" lifestyles. so, if asked whether i support the scouts. i must say "no".

Three years. I learned how to boil water in a paper bag over an open fire and how to make a compass out of a watch, matchstick and the sun. Lessons I will never forget. With the world as it is, who knows when they'll come in handy.

I was lazy scout. I never went for badges or anything. I just wanted to camp and play capture the flag at the awesome camp we had. I must say the scouts made me the sneak I am today.

it was cool cause we ddint have cabins or what ever you slept in. we had tents and if we had to pee we would just get up and find a tree. takeing a crap was a little tricky in the middle of the woods. but basically it involved a shovel and squating. out of embarrassment i walked a mile away from everyone else to crap.

Totally, Boy Scouts have a bum rap as do-gooders. I think half the guys in my troop went on to sell drugs.

I remember sometimes there would be girls out there on trips and stuff, but they were children of the leaders. It was fun to poke them with sticks and throw pinecones at them and stuff.
