Just curious whether anyone has seen the British miniseries Ultraviolet?
For anyone who hasn't, it's a show about a team of modern day vampire hunters. It's very much an X-Files inspired show, but there were only six episodes made. Luckily, the six shows form enough of a closed circle that watching them doesn't feel like Farscape, where there's a big cliffhanger and then the show just ends. The way vampires are presented is actually one of the strongest things about the show. They're never actually called vampires (they're called Code V's), and they carry the idea of vampires not reflecting in mirrors to further logical places, like not being able to use a phone. They have to use voice software to talk, which is actually one of the neatest ideas in the show.
Anyway, before I ramble on for hours, I really think this is a neat show. I'm not a big vampire fan, so I was surprised at how good it was.
