as for great americna thinkers go it all depends on your point of view as to who is a great american thinker.
why oh why do i have a feeling this is going to turn into a flame thread?

the problem with the french is that holy roman empire crap screwed their heads up, they figure charlemegne was the ultimate emperor and they tell themselves that they are still in charge of said non-exsistant empire, which ruled every country that has invaded and raped them in the last 500 yrs.....

But not away from unelected, inbred, moronic dynasties - and yours get to wield power whereas ours get to wield ceremonial maces once a year.....

(And not smart enough to get the hang of where-location and were-pastime either...)

Candlelit dinners and actual letters are fantastic, you have no romance in your soul, another point to France!

Hack writers, pornographers, profiteers and philanderers. The undeniably great men you've included there weren't thinkers.

as for great americna thinkers go it all depends on your point of view as to who is a great american thinker.
why oh why do i have a feeling this is going to turn into a flame thread?

I was going for a capital-T Thinker type thing, i.e. philosophy. Mostly I was going to deflate egos. Maybe I should have gone with "Great American Chefs".

Flame away. My subscription expires tomorrow and it's bedtime in the civilised free world. So that's me Gone.

henry ford, george washington carver, and the guy that created the pace maker were none of those things. but with out edison who is considerably one of teh greatest thinkers ever, i mean come on already look at all the inventions he is resposible for? phones, records, electric lights, and on and on.... its a sad state of affairs when i decide to flame somebody leaving the site
