Are you anything like me, and wonder what other SG members desktops look like? Are you the neatly organised type, or is your desktop a clutter of shortcut icons? Are you curious what others have for wallpaper? I have always wondered what other people's screens look like, and when Cherry posted a screen dump of hers in this thread it got me thinking what hidden secrets are in that RANDOM folder! Its like wanting to look through someone's underwear drawerwink
This thread will probably die a major death due to not that many people having screendump software on their PC, but what the heck here's mine:

"Print Screen | SysRq" screendumps to the Windows clipboard. MS Paint can handle the rest.

Crikey, I cannae stand it + PervyPunk you have SO many things running at once - look at your task tray - I'm amazed you have any memory left eeek

wow, not only do Brits drive on the wrong side of the road, they put their shortcuts on the wrong side of the screen wink

hee hee just messin with you Cherry biggrin

but honestly, beginner computer geek here, but having too many links on your desktop can slow you down...if you look at my screen, i have a bunch of junk too, but i also have a folder labled "Desktop" for all the stuff that really doesn't need to be there but i need to access semi-quick...

Thats the beauty of having a self built systemwink It still thrashes along at a rate most people would kill for in their Sandra Benchtest results!
(Lian-Li aluminium case / 550w dual fan PSU to power all my gadgets and USB gubbins / ATI Radeon 9700 Pro GFX card / 2gb PC2100 memory / AMD Athlon 2200 XP CPU / ...and i won't bore anybody any further. It is a tiny bit noisy though, because i need 6 fans to keep the beast cool (2 intake, 4 exhaust). I think my next move is definately a vapourchill setup).
Seriously though, i don't suffer any performance lags. Plus i NEED all them things running in my systraywink)

MS Paint can save jpgs; at least, the XP version can.

All that real estate, and you expect me not to use it? I change 'em all the time.

Not only that, but its instant access to the stuff you use a lot. It saves wading through folders to run what you want. Common sense really, and time saving

Yeah, I'm begining to think that people have forgotten the start menu even exists!! And you can organise it so you can get places quickly. Sorry, back to the modern world...
