Jason Schwartzman has basically done three movies and all have been totally different from another. Rushmore was one of the most acclaimed films of the 1990's, Slackers was some dumb flick I never saw and now comes Spun. Directed by Swedish music video veteran Jonas Akerlund [Ray of Light for Madonna and Smack My Bitch Up for Prodigy] the movie definitely has a unique look to its story of methamphetamine addicts on the way down. A music video version of Requiem for a Dream is the best way to describe. Fast moves, fast edits and lots of music plus a hysterical...

Great film, the way they did the drugs was a bite off requiem for a dream, and there was some weird animation stuff in the strip club that was almost a nod to the wall.

But by far one of the most accurate portrayals of meth amphetamine use, and very entertaining in a morbid way.

Whats up with D.R.E. ripping Slackers (and he hasnt even seen it) in the intro bit..?

Slackers is one of the funniest movies ive ever seen, its got cult status amongst many sg types i know, and it was a genius performance by Jason Schwartzman. Just curious...

I met will de los santos two years ago in Oregon. He spent the days on my couch once.

I went to the Las Vegas premeir and it was fucking rad getting to see the unrated version, but I hear they had to tone it down. I've already seen 3 other versions of this film but......The premeir is in the 17th - is anyone going?
