....the original bling bling blingers....anybody else out there a pinball head? favorite tables?....my parents had a table in the house growing up in the 70's...paul bunyon...i would spend hours playing w/my firends who had a psychadelic 60's table next door with swirly paisley designs all over it...i go to bars solely based on what tables they have and will play forever and not socialize at all given the chance...but then again a relationship or two has been built above the joyful din and flashing lights...sadly no pinball table sex yet (super mulitball jackpot!)....i've always been fond of dr.who, what with the daleks freaking out and all...the other day i found a playboy table which moans and giggles seductively when you do certain things...hot

The most memorable ones for me are some F-14 Tom Cat themed game (back when Top Gun was huge) and the Guns'N'Roses pinball machine. Now that one was the shit. I still see it around sometimes in dive bars and I get all tingly inside. Hand me a quarter, i need to play this thing.

I love pinball.....but there is something that's just plain wrong about the newer one's with the button instead of the springy boinger thingie to launch the balls...it jsut takes some of the zest out of my game....the new machines they try to be all fancy with their holographs...but they lack the the luster of the older ones....

my father has an early 80's machine in his basement, I believe it was called "Big Gun's". He bought it when I was an early teen and we used to play it daily, constant tournaments...luckily I am still the champion. Nothing beats a good game of pinball smile

That Dr. Who one sounds like the shit, but the one I thought was uber-rad was the jurassic park one where the t-rex bent down and ate the pin ball, and then would shit it out. That one was fun.

Wasn't Haunted Mansion the first super-pinball machine, with multiple levels (i.e. it could go up to the "attic" tier, raised above the normal level, or go down into the "basement", a lower level visible through a window in the middle of the machine)?
Then there was the Pacman one, incorporating a video game into the scoreboard section...and pinball games increasingly had to have those bells n whistles (so to speak)...
...when, really, who wants a video game in their pinball machine?? Let's have more 1970s machines! Where's my Evel Knievel n Grand Funk Railroad machines?

We own a 1994 Jurassic Park pinball machine. It's the greatest game I've ever played. Lots of mini-games, multi-ball, and a big T-rex that eats your ball. It cost a good chunk of change, but I wouldn't trade it for anything! smile

i've played on 'the biggest pinball table' hercules...on the nj boardwalk somewhere, it's seriously like 3 feet wide...and my friend has a whole basement full of tables...gorgar, the first talking pinball game, and dark knight, the first digital (or multilevel?) game. funfunfun!
when i play i tend to put all my weight on my hands so my feet barely touch the ground and i move my legs spasmodically. i get real into it, esp mulitball. to me, doing really really well on multiball and keeping them alive for a long time is the purest form of sport, bordering on sublimity (esp when you use one ball to knock another into a jackpot target). mmmm...i could wax on and on about pinball....glad others are into too. anyone know any esp. good pinball places in portland?

I used to play taxi driver after finishing shifts at the bar, I loved that one. "Hey taxi give gorbi ride" shall burn in my ears forever. 25th anniversary star trek was good too and twilight zone, oh so many hours wasted in such a good way.

I need to have sex on a pinball table. Like now.

My favorite was the old horror movie monster table at my favorite bar in New Orleans....

I think I need to go play pinball tomorrow night.

i used to froth over Star Trek:TNG pinball.

it was the best. all of the missions were different, the layout was hot. and it was fun as hell.

can't find 'em around anymore. are there dealers that'll sell tables for home use? like refurbished ones? i'd love a table.

oh has anybody heard that first mr.bungle album? the one with the clown on the cover? it's tight because they sample the hell out of either the cyclone or the comet "ride the ferris wheel!" whichever that is...it's classic and tight.

I love the older pinball games. The machines they have come out with in the last 5 to 10 years just have to many bells and whistles. My favorite one was Robot Carnival or something like that. I used to play it all the time at this sub shop I worked at.

Pinball fucking rules, and the earlier post about the button launch was dead on, that new button sucks. I always dug the Twilight Zone machine, I love the show and the machine was pretty neat too. Indiana Jones and the Star Wars Trilogy machine are also awesome. I always wander eBay and look at the machines for sale, and someday soon i'm gonna crack and buy one.

The bar I go too use to have a star trek the next generation machine. I'd play that game for an hour and come back to the table all sweaty. My girlfriend at the time use to get really pissed...The adams family was another one that I thought was pretty good too.

yup, the Addams Family game ruled, too. i was poking around table dealers, and the NM ST and AF games are the ones that command the most dollars. at least from the modern era.

Ever since I was a young boy, I played the silver ball. From Brighton down to SoHo, I must've played them all. But I've never seen anything like him in any amusement hall. That deaf, dumb and blind kid sure plays a mean pinball.

Sorry I had to do it. That Playboy pinball machine is key.
This guy I work with, his dad has got a bunch of tables. I want one.

I always loved watching my dad on the pinball tables, when I was a kid. He was sooo good at them.

I haven't seen a real pinball table in about a million years. So, I've never played one in real life.

However, I am addicted to microsoft pinball.

Super bump.... my favorite was "High Speed" I played it all the time at the corner store.

I also loved the more classic pinball machines that they have at Cedar Point. Fond childhood memories, those were the days.
