hard core homemaking

I just baked a scull and cross bones shaped cake today, and I was thinking how much I like baking and gardening, and other things that probably make me a sissy. It got me thinking that it might be fun to share homemaking stories and prove how tough we are.

Look, a scull. see, sculls are tough.

I am trained chef and baker studied for many years to realize i only enjoy cooking for me and my friends hated doing it as a career .
as for other stuff yes i cook i clean i even do windows
but i listen to really hardcore music while i do it so its ok

Yeah, I am all about cooking for myself. I love having parties and cooking for my friends to. Nothing beats sitting around with a bunch of friends, feeding them all, and then hanging out.

dude, nothing kicks more ass than mopping naked.

i just, really, really like mopping...and sweeping.

I am a firm beleiver that if you liek to do something, you should do it naked at least once.

only dont do it while cooking bacon
did it once and damn if the splatters didnt just aim for me

i like gardening (thought i wanted to be a botanist for a long time) my plants are my babies since i cant have animals and i dont want kids. and im a clean freak so i enjoy a clean house and i dont mind doing it either. but i also listen to hardcore music while doing it and so it is indeed okay. ive also recently in the last few years discovered i love cooking and im good at it. but i get embarrassed when people comment on how well i cook.

I'm a complete waste of space when it comes to anything domestic. I try, but always seem to fail at even the most basic tasks.

As it happens, this spills over into all areas of my life. Huzzah!

I sew -- clothes and home decorating stuff, not like quilts or anything.

I also cook. I make good Thai food.

my fiance is the total suize homewrecker....homemaker. er something. she's always cooking. she's always decorating. i mean right now she's painting me this pictures which she calls rpg pinup girls. she's always cleaning. she makes dolls. she edits our clothes to make new clothes that rule. she can even make a cake in the shape of a hamburger. too bad i don't like cake.

i like to cook too. i make excellent potatos. but all that house wifey stuff makes her happy so i let her go to it. she's got to be happy some how. i know my 4 seconds of love making a couple times a week isn't gonna cut it. thank god for creative outlets.

i love the zen of "shit" jobs - moving furniture, cleaning, washing cars, whatever. i spent the last 4 years working in an office, solving problems, and hated it. i'd rather dig holes or move boxes.

last night i cleaned the kitchen grout with a toothbrush. no, it wasn't a tweak project.

i clean the bathtub in the nude sometimes....that happens when i get ready to takea bath and my roomates have just got done shaving their pubes or some shit

Usually I'm a slob, but sometimes I'll crack and go on a mad cleaning spree, and I'll spend all day scrubbing the scum out of the shower and cleaning the oven while listening to AC/DC's Back in Black.

Same thing with food... usually I live on food that comes in a pouch, can or box, but every once in a while I'll make a multi-course feast and I'll have to call people and say "Come over and help me eat this!!"

I can do anything house related, even build one. But I will not do dishes. I'll sew up a pile of clothes before I do dishes. I also tend to clean in spurts, you know go mad and listen to loud punk while I pick up all the furniture to see what lost cultures have left behind.

mE TOO i ALWAYS COOK FOR FRIENDS AND THROW PARTIES IT SUCKS (oop caps lok) to feel embarrassed when you do a good job.

i don't get it, why be embarrassed? i mean this is 2005, right? i love a man that can cook and cleans house. one of my favorite things to do is cook a great meal with an awesome guy.

I never used to be a neat freak or even enjoy cleaning, or cooking (though I always loved decorating and crafty projects.) But, here in the last year or so, my domestic side has completely come out. I HAVE to have a clean house (the only thing I won't do is vaccuum), and I love cooking. I try any recipe handed to me at least once. I like to bake cookies, cakes, whatever...
It really just happened over night it seems. My boyfriend doesn't complain a bit, though. It just so happens he loves to vaccuum (and eat), so we work out perfectly in that regard.

Im not so into cleaning, but luckily, my girl likes to eat, and likes me to cook for her, so I cook she cleans, it is a fair trade.
