When she's not complaining about how Marie Antoinette bombed at the box office, Kirsten Dunst likes to indulge in a game of puff, puff, pass. The actress recently admitted that she loves tokin' a doob and thinks the world would be a more peace-loving place if people smoked more weed.

Dunst, 24, says, "I drink moderately, I've tried drugs. I do like weed. I have a different outlook on marijuana than America does. My best friend Sasha's dad was Carl Sagan, the astronomer. He was the biggest pot smoker in the world and he was a genius. I've never been a major smoker, but I think America's view on weed is ridiculous. I mean - are you kidding me? If everyone smoked weed, the world would be a better place. I'm not talking about being stoned all day, though. I think if it's not used properly, it can hamper your creativity and close you up inside."

So that explains Carl Sagan's obsession with finding extra-terrestrial intelligence. The Planetary Society is bummed.

That's weird. I was talking about her on here today and now this. Aunt May will be very disappointed! Can't see how it's that big of a deal though but no doubt the papers will make something of it.

I don't know, if a director whose last movie was nominated for four Oscars offered me a part, I'd probably accept, too.

Actually, in Lester Grinspoon's 1971 landmark book Marihuana (sic) Reconsidered, Carl Sagan wrote an often-cited essay on cannabis and scientific inquiry, under the pseudonym "Mr. X", where he put forth that cannabis encouraged some of his projects and "enhanced experiences". His true identity was kept secret in accordance with an agreement he and Dr. Grinspoon had. After Sagan's death in '96, Grinspoon disclosed this to Dr. Sagan's biographer, Keay Davidson, who included the revealation in his 1999 biography Carl Sagan: A Life...

It's kind of weird, I just finished watching Marie Antoinette like five minutes ago. Her hair was pretty hardcore.

I wish she was a suicidegirl. blush

Unless that director was Sophia Coppola, the most obvious one good movie her entire career director in the history of one good movie their entire career directors.
