This dude really does continue to impress me. Seems to work on his feet faster than most comics.

the thing you dont realize when you see this man on Fear Factor or UFC is that he is such an incredibily intelligent individual, its not until you hear him start speaking about issues he's passionate about that you realize he's one the most well-spoken, intellectual people out there.

anyone who hasnt should watch all the videos and listen to all the audio tracks he has on his myspace(especially the one about his views on "life"). we need to encourage people like this man and try to quell the onslaught of the retards.

While I can understand his issues w/comedians who steal material, I find it ironic that a man who thinks the moon landing was faked refers to other people as retards and dullards. Pot, meet kettle.

But overall, an interesting interview.

i get enough of joe rogan on ufc...intelligent, well-spoken, passionate...i mean, ok, there are many other people i would point to before him. decent host for television...im warming up to him, his fight analysis is valuable because he used to be in ufc.

umm, carlos mencia is yards, volumes and guzzles funnier than joe rogan. when you start homogenizing comedy with bs political correctness, everyone suffers. it doesnt have to be all honkey this, and nigger that...but joe rogan at times says something amusing and poigniant...so does my great-grandmother, beuhlah...and shes dead. mencia is hilarious. rogan has no idea what its like to come up with new material week in and week out, his gigs are much easier.

if Mencia cant take the heat he should get out of the kitchen

other comics have had a variety show and it worked out fine for them

take Dave Chapelle for example... his show was amazing and i think we can all agree about that

Joe Rogan's kind of douchey, sure, but Carlos Mencia is awful. ALSO, "Menstealia" makes me laugh, partially because it's so stupid.

Jesus, if Carlos Mencia is stealing bits, he should find some better sources to tap. His show is not funny.

i don't know, Joe Rogan kinda creeps me out. No offense, but if I was a girl I would keep an eye on my drink while he was around.

We don't get a lot of Rogan media in Oz but I've seen him take some shit doing interviews with UFC guys where he just lets it go and continues the interview. It's nice to see him get his teeth into someone for a change. Probably helps that he's not in danger of getting his ass handed to him.

I noticed the Carlos Mencia theivery thing a few years ago watching some downloaded standup routines and also the same of Dane Cook, (However, Dane Cook's showmanship allows me to forgive him some). I want to see some Celebrity-Boxing: Comedian League come from all of this.

Exactly. Anyone who has actually met Mencia realizes right away that he isn't naturally funny. He can deliver other people's lines but can't come up with any of his own. In person he vacillates between boring and boorish.

Rogan on the other hand is smart, charming and oh so sexy.

He is actually a very sweet charming guy.

how come yhis UFC stuff wasn't talked about? that's the best part!

Is there any difference between Mencia stealing from other comedians , and someone like Tarantino stealing from other movies? If you can take an idea and translate it , or perhaps perform it better than the original I guess it becomes homage. Don't know, maybe those are bad examples next to one another.

Nevermind...he's been commentating since 2002.

I never had any interest in Rogan until I heard an audio clip of him talking about DMT.

Prior to that, I was a fan from News Radio and some of us his stand up, but then he came across as a total dick in a blog he wrote where he went off on some guy and used his star status to somehow insult the guy.

I've noticed that month-old members are fucking amazingly successful at resurrecting old ass threads.
