I know where that is, too. It's right by Wigfield which is on Adams, I believe. And it's only a few blocks away from Lake Shore Drive. Which surprises me since that's such a busy area.

The video footage shocked the hell out of me b/c the bustling street looked like any normal street say, in Manhattan. How the hell did no one notice this thing traipsing around there?! It's mind boggling.

Jaun or Jawn is urban Philadelphia slang which is basically short for any person, place or thing.

"That coyote snuggled right up in that in jaun." or "Yes, YES right up against them SoBe jawns." "Chumpy" is another word for it. "That chumpy was cute." (def #s 12 & 13)

I lived in a Philly ghetto for 4 years. It has its own mystifying laws reguarding the English language.

That broken record sentence should've read "That coyote snuggled right up in that jaun." Apologies.

Deep Philly accents are ugly, ugly noise. I do like to reach into the local patois just for some flavor now and then, though. *adjusts monocle*

I never realized that "jawn" was philly-centric. I thought it was everywhere.... How the hell does everyone else refer to an un-named but specific "thing"?

The word "thing" seems to work, perhaps with a description if they don't understand. wink

Yeah but you know how big the park system is.
You can go under Lake Shore Dr. in most spots, the strange thing is they're nocturnal creatures and yes being in the actual concrete city is strange.

Or just craving some Sobe, granted.

That's not ready to fight for Sobe, that's imploring those with thumbs to help open it.
