The day that I conducted this interview, while I was holed up in a room talking with Ron Asheton about the Stooges, Los Angeles burst into flames. A couple of stupid kids setting off firecrackers in the hills started a brushfire that nearly swallowed the Hollywood sign. When I emerged afterwards, I found that the sky was smeared with ash. That night I had a dream so bad that it woke me in a cold sweat: Los Angeles was being destroyed by volcanic ash and liquid fire. People everywhere were dying.

One of my favorite bands ever! Great interview I love hearing different people's perspective about stuff.

great interview. it's cool to hear something about the stooge experience from someone other than iggy.
and what a brilliant intro! "...On one hand this scenario is the kind of self-involved lunacy that only makes sense in dreams. On the other, it's a perfect metaphor for the psychedelic nihilism that has dominated the Stooges' music from their raucous, self-titled debut in 1969..."

p.s. i have a serious crush on miss erin_broadley now.

I'm so jealous of you right now, I would give anything to see the stooges perform none the less meet on of them!
