Get things straight: we are not the San Francisco Chronicle. We are the SuicideGirls Newswire and we will not be bullied by serial killers. In the interest of public safety, however, we are publishing a letter written over 30-years ago by the serial killer known as The Zodiac.

Apparently The Zodiac Killer is highly anticipating the release of his biopic, Zodiac, directed by SuicideGirls' fave David Fincher. The killer, who terrorized Northern California in the late 1960's and 70's, hasn't been too happy with other film iterations of his legacy. This time he seems to have teamed up with the Paramount online publicity department to get his message out there.

The brilliant film has award-worthy performances by Jake Gyllenhaal, Robert Downey, Jr., and Mark Ruffalo. Gyllenhaal plays San Francisco Chronicle editorial cartoonist Robert Graysmith who comes closest to figuring out who the mysterious murderer is.

You can check out the official website for Zodiac, if you have the guts.

I ruin most of these movies by reading the actual historical facts about the person. Serial Killers have always peaked my interest, along with most historical battles in pretty much any war. So when i go to see the movie, i end up picking apart it's inaccuracies.

I have since then learned to just watch the movie for the movie, and just assume it's someone else's interpretation of what actually happened.

I will probably go see this.

This is in my top 3 list of movies to see over spring break, along with 300 (at IMAX) and Black Snake Moan.

I think killers who were never caught are much more interesting and the mathematic basis of Zodiac's crimes makes him much more interesting.

I saw it tonight. An enjoyable movie, but it didn't really feel like a Fincher movie. I imagine those expecting that will be a little disapointed. But I did enjoy it, like I said.

I just saw it tonight. I didn't know a lot about the Zodiac killer going in so there wasn't much to ruin. I enjoyed it although it felt a bit draggier than Fincher's other stuff. The first half I found very tense and creepy. The second half started to lose my attention.

The lake berryessa murder is a brilliant set piece (and a very disturbing one).

It was a little too long but I really liked it.
Although I haven't been feeling well and a couple of scenes where things were filmed fast (like where Jake's reading the files on the murders and the camera is quickly going over the lines on the page) made me feel like puking from motion sickness. But that wasn't the fault of the movie.

Robert Downey Jr steals the show as usual.

It's a tough topic for a film, especially when part of the intent is to convey the passage of time. Great acting, but not terribly interesting.

..A rental.

The first ten minutes (the first two victims) deserve to be seen in a theatre.
