I've always liked Craig Ferguson, and now I know why. He's dead serious and still he can keep you laughing even as you're thinking, "Huh. Yeah, he's right". Bless his big Scottish heart. And hey, Max and StarBelly: If you don't like this thread, you can always start your own, you know. Maybe someday you'll get your icon on the right hand side of this page, and then envious folks can complain about you!
Britney should marry Pete Doherty. So as long as they don't have custody of her kids, of course. I can't think of a couple better suited for each other.
I have had the fortune of organizing a (so far, hopefully) successful intervention of a friend who was rapidly killing himself with cocaine. I say "fortune", but didn't specify good or bad, because I'm pretty much a believer in "live and let live", and I'm not sure what we did was right based on my beliefs. The poor guy's mom was at her wit's end however, and begged me for help.
He resented me for a very long time, it affected our friendship to this day, although he's made his amends to me for things he did while high.
Bottom line is, if she's bouncing in and out of rehabs, it's fairly obvious that she may not be ready to accept her addiction (if in fact that's what the problem is). Once my friend realized during the interverntion, just how many people his addiction was having negative affects upon, he recognized the problem and asked for help.
Sounds to me like someone, or something (like losing the kids to Kevin) is pushing her down this path, and because of that, I have doubts as to her therapy's success. She needs to recognize her problem, and want to deal with it, not be forced to, or it probably won't take.
The popular media are vultures. Fuck them.
*thinks good thoughts for her*
Despite my previous snark, I will get serious for a bit here. I feel bad for her kids. Far worse for them than Brit. They're the real victims in all of this.

"NEWS:" is just threads started by someone who has "editor" in their title, huh?
This is SG, not Newsweek.
thank you broken record.
My point is this isn't even a unremarkable piece of news. this is just a thread!
The lifestyle board is overwrought with "NEWS:" tags and that's because they just slap them on anything now. If an editor likes a 2 year old youtube video of a guy taking a flaming shot, then that becomes NEWS:.
i feel bad for her...i went through post partum depression without all of the cameras up my ass...that shit is brutal. i prob would have shved my head too if all of those extentsions and shit were in it. its a personal prob that i think we all need to shut the fuck up on. granted she is in the media...not everything needs to be discussed constantly
It seems to me that people here talk about Britney Spears' self-esteem the same way conservatives talk about troop morale. As if me posting on here that she's off her gourd or that the troop surge is the worst idea since cancelling Vanilla Coke is somehow going to affect either of them.
People have said it many times before...she needs help. She isn't getting it herself. Her parents, her sister, good God, even K-Fed need to step in and help her. I've read that they are doing some things toward these ends, but to me they aren't working fast enough.
