"People always want to see Pete in this 'I'm-a-crazy-rock-star' light and it's a shame because they lose so much about him in the fine print. And more than anything, they lose so much about the music."
Really? 'Cos that just makes me see him in an "I'm living in my mom's house and taking pix of my junk in the mirror to post on the internet" light. I know the line between that and "crazy-rock-star" is a fine one, but the former is the side I'm erring on, myself.
C'mon. That wallpaper is so "I'm living in my mom's house."
My favorite part of this story is that posting doofusy digi-cam self-portraits compliments of mom and dad's house is officially part of Fall Out Boy's immortal everlasting legacy. At least they can laugh at it (if only to keep from crying, I guess).
It's a lot like Jim Morrisson getting naked on stage, only uh... infinitely dorkier and lonelier and more awkardly self-aware. Kind of representative of our generation. (Well, mine at least, I guess. Or even younger.) It makes me sad, and yet, I relate. Embarrassing as it is, it only makes me love them more.
Argh. I feel like I need to enter a 12-step. "Hi, my name is DG and I have a Fall Out Boy problem..."
